Future app updates

Update without starting over

Install the new APK
over the current app.

IPTVX is sideloaded on Fire OS, so the Amazon Appstore cannot update it for you. Always install the newer official IPTVX APK over the existing installation. Do not uninstall IPTVX first. An in-place update preserves the app data stored by Fire OS.

  1. 01
    Download the new APK

Open the Downloader app, enter https://iptvx.app/fire-tv/, choose Go, and download the newest APK.

  2. 02
    Allow Downloader if asked

Open Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options → Install Unknown Apps, select Downloader, and switch it to On.

  3. 03
    Install over IPTVX

Open the completed APK download. When Fire OS recognizes the existing official installation, choose Update, wait for App installed, and then select Open.

Quick answers

Before you reach for the remote.

Why isn’t IPTVX in the Amazon Appstore?

IPTVX is being distributed for Fire OS as an official signed APK. Installation therefore happens by sideloading rather than through an Amazon Appstore listing.

Does this work on every Amazon Fire TV?

No. This installation path is only for compatible Amazon devices running Fire OS, such as compatible Fire TV Stick models (HD, 4K, or 4K Max), Fire TV Cube, and televisions with Fire TV built in. It is not an installation method for devices running Vega OS.

I cannot see Developer Options. What do I do?

Open Settings → My Fire TV → About, highlight the device name, and press the center button seven times. Then return to My Fire TV.

Can I use the Downloader app to install IPTVX?

Yes. Downloader is the recommended method on Fire OS. Install or open Downloader, enable Install Unknown Apps → Downloader, enter https://iptvx.app/fire-tv/ in Downloader’s URL field, choose Go, and install the IPTVX APK.

Can I purchase the subscription on Amazon Fire TV?

Not at the moment. Purchase the subscription through Google Play, then sign in to the sideloaded Fire OS app with the same IPTVX account so IPTVX can verify the Google Play entitlement. Installing the APK by itself does not activate a subscription.

Where is the APK?

Coming soon. This page is already live so you can bookmark the official location; the download control will be activated when the signed Fire OS build is released.

How do I update IPTVX on Fire TV?

Download the newer official APK from this page and install it over the existing IPTVX app by choosing Update. Do not uninstall IPTVX first.

Subscription required?

Purchase through Google Play. Watch on Fire OS.
