General

What IPTVX is, and what it is not.

What is IPTVX?

IPTVX is a premium IPTV player for personal libraries. It helps you organize and watch your own playlists across supported devices with a polished interface, fast navigation, metadata, live TV tools, and sync.

Does IPTVX include channels, playlists, streams, movies, or series?

No. IPTVX is software only. IPTVX is a player and does not provide channels, streams, movies, series, or provider servers. It does not sell, host, bundle, recommend, or resell video content.

  1. If you paid for IPTVX and see no content, add your own legal playlist or source first.
  2. If you expected login details, contact the content provider you chose. IPTVX does not send provider usernames, passwords, or playlist URLs.
  3. If a playlist works elsewhere but not in IPTVX, send support the device, OS version, IPTVX version, playlist type, and the exact error without sharing credentials publicly.
Why does IPTVX describe itself as premium personal IPTV?

IPTVX was built to move personal IPTV away from basic playlist players and toward a streaming-platform experience: cinematic UI, Apple cloud sync, powerful playback, rich organization, and performance work for large libraries.

Where can I get help?

Email support@iptvx.app. For store billing issues, use the store where you purchased because Apple, Google Play, and Amazon manage their own payments and refunds.

Platforms

Supported devices and roadmap.

Which Apple devices are supported?

IPTVX is available across the Apple ecosystem: Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Apple Vision Pro, and Mac with Apple silicon.

Is Android supported?

Android support is on the roadmap. Android TV, Google TV, Fire OS, Android phones, tablets, and Chromebooks are planned as part of the next release wave.

Will direct website plans work on Apple and Android?

Direct website plans are designed for supported Apple and Android IPTVX apps when signed in with the same IPTVX account, subject to platform availability, store rules, and technical support.

Features

Playback, organization, and speed.

What are the main IPTVX features?

IPTVX includes multiplatform sync, unlimited playlists, playlist PIN lock, offline downloads on iOS, casting, AirPlay, Picture in Picture, playback queue, custom favorites order, custom category order, skip intro, realtime inner player switch, search by actor, favorites with tags, Live AI Interactive Panel, recording, metadata, special hubs, and more.

Why does IPTVX focus so much on performance?

Large playlists can involve heavy downloading, parsing, indexing, artwork, metadata, EPG, memory pressure, and long scrolling lists. IPTVX treats performance as part of the product so real libraries remain smooth and usable.

Can IPTVX handle live events and multiscreen viewing?

IPTVX includes live-oriented experiences such as guide data, live TV organization, recording, and multiscreen presentation. The exact behavior depends on platform support and the sources you configure.

Playback does not start. What should I check first?

Most playback problems are caused by the stream, provider, network, or format. Start with the fastest checks before reporting a bug.

  1. Test the same stream outside IPTVX. If it also fails there, the provider or source is the problem.
  2. Check if it affects one item or the whole playlist. One broken item usually points to a provider-side stream issue.
  3. Try another player option in Settings > Player when the app exposes one for that content type.
  4. Send a concise report if it only fails in IPTVX: device, OS version, IPTVX version, playlist type, affected content type, and a short log.
A stream is black, offline, or does not load. Is that an IPTVX issue?

Usually not. IPTVX cannot repair a provider stream that is offline, expired, geo-restricted, overloaded, blocked, or encoded incorrectly.

  1. Try the same stream with the same provider outside IPTVX.
  2. If it fails outside IPTVX, contact the provider because IPTVX does not control their servers or content.
  3. If it only fails in IPTVX, report it with device, OS version, IPTVX version, playlist type, and whether the issue happens on Wi-Fi, cellular, or both.
Why are AirPlay, Chromecast, Picture in Picture, HDR, or frame-rate matching unavailable?

Some system playback features are available only when the stream can be opened by Apple's native player.

  1. Set Settings > Player to Auto so IPTVX can try the native player first.
  2. For live TV, prefer provider formats such as HLS or M3U8 when your provider offers them.
  3. If IPTVX must fall back to another player, playback may still work, but casting, PiP, HDR, or frame-rate matching can remain unavailable.
My playlist or EPG is slow. What can cause that?

Large playlists, slow providers, artwork-heavy metadata, unreliable EPG sources, and network latency can all affect load time. IPTVX is optimized for large libraries, but source quality still matters.

  1. Test the provider source speed on the same network.
  2. Refresh the playlist and EPG after confirming the provider is reachable.
  3. Report repeatable slowdowns with playlist type, approximate library size, device, OS version, and whether artwork or EPG loading is involved.
My EPG is not showing. What should I check?

EPG depends on a valid provider guide source and compatible playlist data.

  1. Edit the playlist and confirm that a valid EPG URL is configured.
  2. Check whether the EPG URL is reachable from the same device and network.
  3. Refresh or re-add the playlist if the guide URL is valid but the guide still does not appear.
  4. Ask the provider if the EPG URL is missing, expired, blocked, or does not match the playlist channels.
How do I access catch-up or programme archive?

Catch-up depends on provider support. IPTVX can expose it only when the playlist includes compatible catch-up data.

  1. Look for channels marked with the catch-up or clock indicator.
  2. Open the channel actions and choose the programme archive when available.
  3. If no catch-up indicator is present, the provider may not expose catch-up data for that channel.
Where are offline downloads stored?

Offline downloads are stored inside IPTVX app storage for offline viewing. They are not meant to be extracted as normal files and they are not synced across devices.

  1. Manage downloads on the device where they were downloaded.
  2. Delete downloaded items inside IPTVX when you need to free space.
  3. Do not expect downloads to appear on other devices, because offline files are local to the device.
My playlist will not load. Could DNS or the network be blocking it?

Yes. Some internet providers, routers, DNS services, VPNs, or regional networks can block or fail to resolve IPTV provider domains.

  1. Try the same playlist on another trusted network.
  2. Disable conflicting VPN, ad-blocking, or filtering tools temporarily and test again.
  3. Try a trusted alternate DNS configuration if the provider works elsewhere but not on your current network.
  4. Ask the provider whether their domain is blocked or unavailable in your region.
What can I try when live TV says there is a streaming problem?

Live TV errors are often caused by provider format or stream availability. Trying another current format such as HLS, M3U8, TS, or RTMP can behave differently.

  1. Test the same channel outside IPTVX to confirm the provider stream is online.
  2. Try changing the live player type in Settings > Player.
  3. Check Settings > TV Live & TV Guide > Current format and try another provider format if available.
  4. If your provider supports both Xtream and M3U, re-add the playlist using the other login type to isolate format issues.

Sync & Privacy

What is stored and where.

How does sync work on Apple devices?

On Apple platforms, IPTVX uses Apple CloudKit to store preferences, settings, progress, playlists, favorites, continue watching, hidden channels, parental controls, and related app data in your iCloud. This data remains tied to your Apple account and uses your iCloud storage.

What account data can IPTVX store?

When you create or access an IPTVX account, IPTVX may store account email, authentication status, security settings, linked subscription identifiers, and optional marketing consent choices needed to operate the selected service.

Does IPTVX know my private Apple identity?

The privacy policy states that IPTVX uses an iCloud hashed ID for user flows and analytics, but does not access private identity data such as your Apple email, name, phone number, or similar personal details through that hashed ID.

When does IPTVX sync iCloud data?

IPTVX pushes recent changes to iCloud when the app goes to the background and periodically while you use the app, usually around every 30 seconds. When you open a playlist, IPTVX also refreshes data from iCloud, and it checks again after longer inactive periods, usually around every 30 minutes.

  1. After changing favorites, progress, or settings, keep IPTVX open briefly or send it to the background.
  2. Open the playlist again on the other device and give iCloud time to deliver the latest data.
  3. Avoid force-quitting immediately after large changes, because iCloud may not have finished uploading yet.
Favorites, progress, or settings disappeared from iCloud sync. What should I verify?

On Apple devices, verify iCloud is enabled, the device is signed into the expected Apple ID, iCloud Drive is available, and your iCloud storage is not full.

  1. Check the Apple ID on every device.
  2. Check iCloud storage. IPTVX sync depends on Apple's iCloud infrastructure and uses your iCloud storage; when iCloud has no free space, uploads and downloads can be delayed or fail.
  3. Open the playlist again and allow time for IPTVX to resync.
  4. If only one device is wrong, restart that device and verify iCloud is still enabled before changing more data.
Can I unsubscribe from marketing emails?

Yes. Marketing consent is separate from accepting the Terms and Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe from IPTVX offers, product news, and update emails at any time.

Subscriptions

Purchases, access, cancellations, and refunds.

Where is my subscription valid?

Apple purchases provide access on supported Apple devices and Apple-managed environments. Google Play purchases apply to supported Google Play or Android devices. Amazon purchases apply to supported Amazon devices. Direct website purchases apply to supported Apple and Android devices when signed in with the same IPTVX account.

How do I cancel?

Store renewals must be canceled in the store where you subscribed. Direct IPTVX website subscription renewals can be canceled from the IPTVX account page; cancellation stops future renewals and does not refund the active paid period.

How do refunds work?

Apple, Google Play, and Amazon purchases are refunded through their stores. Direct website purchases activate premium access immediately after checkout acknowledgement, so change-of-mind refunds are excluded after access starts; billing errors and mandatory consumer rights remain covered.

What does lifetime mean?

Lifetime means access to relevant IPTVX software features for the lifetime of the original account holder, while the IPTVX service and supported platforms remain available. It is not transferable, resellable, inheritable, or shareable outside the plan rules.

Can IPTVX block subscription abuse?

Yes. The terms allow reasonable technical and account-safety measures against bypassing device limits, rotating unrelated users through an account, reselling access, sharing credentials outside the household, or misrepresenting household membership.

My subscription is not recognized. What should I try?

Apple purchases depend on Apple's receipt and StoreKit systems. Newer OS versions are more reliable.

  1. Update to iOS or tvOS 15 or later when your device supports it.
  2. Open IPTVX and run Restore Purchases.
  3. Confirm you are using the Apple ID that bought the subscription or an eligible Family Sharing account.
  4. If access is still missing, delete and reinstall IPTVX. Reinstalling can force Apple to download the local App Store receipt again; on older OS versions Apple can sometimes fail to return that receipt correctly.
What is the difference between Pro and Full?

The current product is the IPTVX subscription. Full was an older legacy name used for a tvOS-only purchase and is no longer sold as a new plan. Pro is also a legacy Apple TV-only purchase with a smaller feature set, and it is not the same as the current IPTVX subscription. If a purchase restores on Apple TV but not on iPhone or iPad, it may be a legacy Apple TV purchase rather than the current subscription.

Why do I see two 12-month subscriptions?

If you see a current 12-month IPTVX subscription and another 12-month subscription marked as legacy, they provide the same 12-month access. The subscription shown in the current IPTVX purchase screen is the one to use. The legacy 12-month product can still appear in Apple subscription management or older IPTVX settings because it is kept for historical App Store compatibility, but it is no longer the product we sell or present to new users. Do not buy both.

Why does Apple TV ask me to purchase again?

On Apple TV, check which Apple TV user and Apple ID are currently active. The app can appear on the Home Screen for multiple household profiles, but purchase access belongs to the Apple ID or eligible family sharing setup that owns the purchase.

  1. Open the Apple TV user switcher and choose the profile tied to the purchase.
  2. Run Restore Purchases from IPTVX while using the correct Apple ID.
  3. If your household uses Family Sharing, confirm the current Apple TV user is part of the eligible family group.

Family Sharing

Apple-provided and IPTVX-provided options.

How does Apple Family Sharing work with IPTVX?

An adult sets up Apple Family Sharing, each family member uses their own Apple TV user/iCloud account, and the family can share an eligible IPTVX subscription while each person keeps their own synced IPTVX data.

How does IPTVX-provided Family Sharing work?

The Family Sharing owner manages people from the IPTVX account page, creates invite links, and invited members join with the invited email using an IPTVX account.

What are the family limits?

Family Sharing is intended for one household. The terms describe a Family Sharing subscription or lifetime entitlement as limited to members of the same household and up to six connected devices at the same time.

Media Server

NAS, Mac, recordings, and local control.

What is IPTVX Media Server?

IPTVX Media Server helps record, stream, and organize personal media from a NAS or Mac. The website includes installation paths for Synology SPK and generic Linux NAS packages.

Can I install it on Synology?

Yes. The current support page describes enabling SSH in DSM, uploading the SPK package, installing it through SSH, and opening the server UI at the configured NAS address and port.

Can I change the server port from the web UI?

For NAS packages, the current notes say the port is changed in the server configuration file, not from the web UI. After changing it, update IPTVX client settings and any router port forwarding.

Bug Reports

What to send when something breaks.

How should I report a bug?

Email support with the device, OS version, IPTVX version, what you expected, what happened, and the smallest repeatable steps. Add screenshots or screen recordings when they help explain the issue.

Should I attach the log file?

Bug reporting is optional. When you report a bug, the app may ask whether you want to attach a log file. Logs can contain information about streams you tried to play and related errors, so review your choice before sending.

What makes a bug report actionable?

The best reports include exact steps, playlist type without exposing private credentials, whether the issue happens on one device or multiple devices, whether it started after an update, and whether playback, parsing, sync, EPG, or UI navigation is involved.

Will bug reports improve this FAQ?

Yes, after the lesson becomes official. When a report reveals a useful explanation, workaround, limitation, or repeated question, IPTVX may turn that lesson into a public FAQ entry after the related behavior has been verified and merged into the official release branch. Private account data, playlist URLs, credentials, logs, and personal details are not published.

Which email should I use in a bug report?

Use the email where you want IPTVX support to reply. Some app-generated reports can be routed through technical mail systems, so support uses the reporter email included in the report details when following up.
