Choose how Family Sharing is provided.
IPTVX can support Family Sharing through Apple Family Sharing or through IPTVX accounts, depending on where the subscription is managed.

Apple Family Sharing lets you and up to five other family members share app subscriptions and services (more info here).
Why is this an important milestone for IPTVX?
Let's make an example:
- Susan owns an Apple TV where she sets her App Store / iCloud account.
- Susan and her family use IPTVX on the Apple TV every day.
- Susan has IPTVX on her iPhone too, and everything is synchronized through iCloud.
- Mark is Susan's husband and, although he has a playlist on Susan's Apple TV, he also uses IPTVX on his iPhone with his App Store / iCloud account.
- For this reason, Mark is not able to get the data synchronized between his iPhone and Susan's Apple TV. Moreover, he cannot use Susan's IPTVX subscription and must pay another subscription.
- Susan has also two sons that both want to use IPTVX on their iPhones. However, Susan doesn’t want to pay four subscriptions for all her family and, in any case, Apple TV uses her account, which doesn’t solve the data synchronization problem for the rest of the family.
IPTVX offers a solution
Thanks to the Apple TV multi-user changes, it is now possible to set a different iCloud account for each family member. Moreover, thanks to Apple Family Sharing, it is now possible to offer subscriptions that support Family Sharing.
So what should you do?
If you have a family, setting this up is super easy:
- An adult from your family must set up Apple Family Sharing from an Apple device (instructions here).
- In the settings of your Apple TV, create a new user for each family member (instructions here).
- In IPTVX, go into settings, open the In-App Purchase panel, and subscribe to the FULL version with Family Sharing. You are done! Now every family member will have their data synchronized on their iCloud account, plus the family will share a unique subscription. All you have to do is switch Apple TV users when using IPTVX (instructions here).
Note for existing subscribers
Note: If you are an existing subscriber, don’t worry. You won’t lose the money you already spent on your current subscription. Apple makes sure you are immediately upgraded and receive a refund of the prorated amount of your original subscription.
For example, if for your current subscription you paid $12 for 12 months, 8 months ago, you’ll get $4 back for the remaining 4 months. At the same time, Apple will charge you for the new 12-month subscription that starts immediately.

How it works
The Family Sharing owner manages people from the IPTVX account page. To add someone, the owner enters the person name and email, then IPTVX generates an invite link.
The owner copies that invite link and sends it to the person. The invited person can log in with an existing IPTVX account or create a new one. When the account uses the invited email, it joins the family automatically.
Family limits
- The owner account is included.
- The owner can invite up to 5 additional household members.
- Each member uses a separate IPTVX account.
- Each account can use 1 connected device at a time.
- Family members can switch family plans once every 12 months.
Adding a person
Open My account, choose Family Sharing, enter the person name and email, and generate the invite link. The page also shows circular avatars based on each person initials.
Removing a person
The owner can remove a pending invite or an active family member from the Family Sharing section. Removing a person frees a family seat, while the member switch limit still applies to the member account.
